The East Ringwood Cricket Club

The East Ringwood Cricket Club was formed in 1926 and has occupied the East Ringwood Reserve ever since. Many changes and developments have taken place over the years, a successful amalgamation with the Bedford Ringwood High School Club in 1975 being one of the most significant.

The club exists to provide members of the community with an opportunity to involve themselves in a healthy team and club environment and to foster the development of young people as excellent citizens both on and off the field.

The ERCC is fortunate enough to have facilities which are second to none in the eastern suburbs. With the assistance of the local council and our generous sponsors, in the past three seasons we have been able to resurface our ground and built a state-of-the-art new facility known now as the Coopersmith Pavilion. Together with our practice wickets and brand new electronic scoreboard, we believe this puts us at the cutting edge in terms of facilities available to players.

As of last year, we were able to field five senior teams, two Under 10's teams, two Under 12's team, an under 14's team and a Woolworths Blast Cricket Program.  In the upcoming season of 2023/24, we have encouraging signs, with early indications showing that we will be fielding five maybe six senior teams, five to six junior teams as well as run our Woolworths program. We are a part of the Ringwood and District Cricket Association, which is the largest suburban competition in Victoria and features 26 clubs and thousands of players of all ages and abilities. We also field a very successful veterans team, which plays every second Sunday.

East Ringwood CC is proud of its history, which includes 41 senior and 17 junior premierships, the most recent being the Wilkins Cup Premiership in 2021/22 We are also proud of the culture of friendship we foster and the warm inclusion of families who wish to become part of our community. A wide range of social events, which cater for players, supporters and sponsors, is held each season, while a small group of dedicated volunteers ensures the smooth operation of this outstanding local cricket club.
